Formed in 1984, the Specialty Tobacco Council, Inc.(STC) is thoroughly familiar with all legal issues in the tobacco industry and monitors pertinent legislation and regulatory matters for their impact on specialty tobacco products.

The STC provides information about specialty tobacco products, especially clove cigarettes and cigars, to the public, the media and legislators.

By interacting with other tobacco associations and trade groups, the STC observes industry trends and promotes the interests of manufacturers, importers, wholesalers and retailers.
